ARTWORK DESCRIPTION

There are places the ocean remembers long after our footprints have disappeared.

In Legasea, tranquil layers of aqua, turquoise, and sea glass blues with soft coastal light create a minimalist abstract seascape that captures the quiet rhythm of the ocean where sky and water seem to dissolve into one another.  The shoreline is only gently suggested, allowing the viewer's own experiences to complete the story. 

The title is a play on the words legacy and sea, speaking in to the idea that our true legacy is often invisible -- acts of kindness, moments of love, quiet courage, and the gentle influence we leave in the lives of others. 

Like the tide, legacy is rarely loud. It simply continues.
