Some things remain long after the bloom has faded - a love, a memory, a moment too meaningful to let go.
Created from mixed metals and motorcycle gear, Dustin Rickman's Desolate Red Rose holds a quiet tension between strength and fragility. Its bowed stem, weathered red rose petals and curling leaves evoke a flower kept long after an occasion has passed - too meaningful to throw away.
Small metal mushrooms gather at its base, lending an unexpected tenderness to the industrial materials. There is a wistful romance here: the lingering presence of a person, a place, or a moment we carry with us.
A sculptural keepsake for those who find beauty in what time leaves behind.
